Half Day in Bandra

View of Worli Sea Link from Bandra Fort

Like every travel lover , i can’t sit in the home on holiday or the day i am free. I love to go out and roam free, click photos, capture memories, sit in silence to know myself.I had half day’s time,so i decided to go to Bandra,Mumbai.I had made my itenary after lot of reading and research for my half day trip which includes the following.

  • Chapel Road & Nagrana Lane
  • Castella de Aguada(Bandra Fort)
  • Bandra Bandstand
  • Mount Mary Church
  • Carter Road

Chapel Road

Chapel road has its own beauty of street art. If you want to see artistic imagiation and creativity with message to the society and wall graffiti of famous your bolywood artists you must visit here.

Nagrana Lane

Nagrana Lane is at walking distance from chappel road . This lane will continue with the legacy of the carter road with mesmerising wall art.

It was my plesure to visit Chapel’s Road and Nagrana Lane.It was like visiting artistics galary.

Bandra Fort

Castella de Aguada also called as Bandra Fort built by portuguse in 1640 , is an excellent spot for enjoy scenic beauty ,take pictures, enjoy cool evening breeze and watching beautiful sunset. It has witnessed the shooting of many hindi movies like Jaane Tu..Ya Jaane Na,Dil Chahta Hai,Buddha Mil Gaya and many more. Bandra fort also consists of a beautiful garden inside itself with a variety of flower and trees. You will also see this garden as lover’s point as couples sitting all around the garden.

Bandra Bandstand

Blissful Shore,Bandra Bandstand

Bandra Banstand is 1.2 Km long walkway long sea shore making it perfect place for spending a nice evening. You can sit hear peacefully on rock and enjoy the waves of Sea which will come with life and take all your pain while going back. You can have Chana Jor Garam and tea/coffee/bornvita from the local vendors while enjoying the cool breeze. This place is also perfect for enjoying the beautiful sunset sitting on the black rocks in the serenity of sea.On sitting on the rock and watching the sea ,I live the lines of Bhanu Didi from her book Gurudev On the plateau of the peakI have always loved the sea.It reminds me of infinity ,endless vastness. Each wave, powerful ,is part of the ocean yet distinct from it.When it rises,it is aware of itself as a wave, and as it recedes,it merges back with the ocean.Such is our life too.

Mount Mary Church

While entering the church it is very blissful to see Mount Mary with child jesus .People come here for grace of divine mother in their life, they pray for their troubles and problems of life and it is said that mother mary does not leave any one unattended.Praying here will give you hope, strength and grace in your life.

It is roman catholic church, stands on a hillock, about 80 metres above sea level overlooking the Arbian sea.

Carter Road

I love this place since for food lover’s it is paradise.Being a foodie i could not control myself tasting a variety of food here. Everyone can enjoy according to their taste either vegetrain or non vegetrain. whole road is filled with food joints on both the sides taking you to a heven of food.I have my first taste of mock meat (a type of vegetarian processed food, often containing a soy, gluten, and vegetables, shaped and coloured to resemble real meat.) here in GOOD eat a awesome pure vegetarian Outlet. You can have a nice vegetrain dishes with similar taste of butter chicken, mutton rolls and so on. I also tried Lassi Te Parrontthe,a place with all the menu on wall with a beutiful graphiti menu and taste is also mindblowing. You can have your’s according to your mood and hunger. But I must say everyone should visit this road and enjoy their mouth watering feast here,You will suerly love it.
